introduction

The Forest Skywalk is FRIM's second canopy walkway which is located at Kepong Botanic Gardens (KBG). The highest point of the structure is 141 m above sea level. The structure was built using aluminum, enforced with steel tubes and supported by guy wires. The Forest Skywalk is made up of 11 towers and 8 bridges, varying in height from 18 m to 50 m with a total length of 250 m. From the Forest Skywalk office, you need to walk 100 m along an easy trail. Once on the skywalk, visitors can spend 30 to 40 minutes to complete the loop. The panoramic view on the Forest Skywalk will captivate attention, especially from the top of the 50 m tower.

The lush greenery of the man-made forest will be seen on the north and east of the skywalk while the beauty of the thematic plantings and the ponds of KBG will be enjoyed on the west of the skywalk. In addition, the south of the skywalk offers Kuala Lumpur city landscape with its mighty skyscrapers. During the fruiting season from June to September, visitors will have the chance to see the durian tree (Durio zibethinus) fruiting abundantly in the orchard next to the structure. It will also be the busiest season where we can see many species of insects and birds. Long-tailed macaques (Macaca fascicularis) and black giant squirrels (Ratufa bicolor) can also be seen up close from the canopy. Together with the panoramic view, the natural elements seen from the canopy will give an experience that would not be easily forgotten.
